FBR PSID e-Payments Income Tax
A Payment Slip ID (PSID) is the reference FBR uses to match your bank or ADC payment to the correct tax head, period, and taxpayer. Generating it correctly reduces rejected payments and missing Computerized Payment Receipts (CPR).
1. Confirm the taxpayer identity
Before you create a PSID, confirm NTN or CNIC and the registered name. Wrong identifiers are a common reason payments sit unmatched. Use the FBR E Payment NTN Validator to verify names on bulk e-Payment files first.
2. Log in to Iris / e-Payments
Choose the relevant payment type (for example income tax, withholding section 149, or surcharge). Select the tax year and period that match the return or withholding statement you are filing.
3. Generate the PSID
Iris creates a PSID and amount due. Copy the PSID exactly into your bank, 1-Bill, or ADC channel. Do not reuse an old PSID for a new period.
4. Pay and wait for CPR
After the bank posts the amount, FBR issues a CPR. Keep PSID, CPR number, amount, and date together for your working papers.
5. Reconcile before you file
Match CPR totals to the return. If a payment is missing, check NTN/CNIC on the original slip, then regenerate only if FBR has not receipted the first PSID.
Related: after you build the payment file, verify your generated FBR PSID taxpayer rows with the online validator so ATL names match before submission.
